Maintaining brand consistency in a devolved organisation
UK Bus is part of the Stagecoach Group and, with over 7,000 buses and coaches connecting 100 towns and cities, is one of the largest operators in the UK. Operating through 12 devolved regions, the Stagecoach web site needs to present passengers with a coherent and consistent experience, no matter where they are looking to travel. We designed a website that is effectively a series of websites under a single brand, providing easily accessible timetable information but also allowing each different region to keep the content up to date and accurate.
Using the Emperor content management system, Stagecoach creates and controls the brand and user experience, ensuring it is applied consistently across the whole site. Regional editors then have control over the content relevant to their area, with the ability to update local services, changes to timetables, news and offers.
