Spotlight: Emperor people

Soup or sandwich?
Soup. I'm trying to cut back on bread for health reasons – plus I don't like eating too much of it. Which kind of soup? Mushroom.
Beach or mountains?
Hmm... mountains. Well, maybe the beach if I'm tired, but mountains give you views and fresh air. You might get ice-cream at the beach, but I don't like ice-cream...
What talents do you have that are unused in your current job?
Boxing, which isn't something I can really integrate into my work here! I got into fights every now when I was little. Bit of a tomboy.
Are you a cat person or a dog person?
A cat person, but I still like dogs. Cats have character, although you can do more with a dog – they're more interactive. With cats, everything has to be on their terms.
What's on your computer's Desktop?
A cat. And Bagpuss is on my desk.
What's your favourite website to waste time on?
Expedia – I like looking at holidays! Facebook? No, I don't have an account. I'm quite private, so there's a lot I don't give away...
Who was the last person you made a cup of tea for?
Probably Neil Davis, on the day he was leaving – kind of like a leaving present! Otherwise, I don't really drink it at home.
My culinary specialty is...
Ask my husband, Andy! Probably shepherd's pie. I don't follow a recipe, I just chuck in bits and pieces – ketchup, brown sauce, balsamic vinegar. It turns out alright! Don't get me wrong; I can cook, but I just don't enjoy it all that much.
If I wasn't at Emperor I would be...
Running my own business, something different – I think a dog-walking business, since it combines animals and the outdoors. From there, I could get into training; open a parlour, maybe a dog hotel.
